It is my greatest pleasure, on behalf of the Organizing Committee to welcome you to attend 3rd Auto Insurance Innovation Congress China 2019, to participate the event to be held on Jan. 9-10th, in Shanghai, China

In 2017, the premium income of the auto insurance in China increased steadily. However, the degree of market concentration and the combined ratio are also increasing. 2018 is the third year of Commercial Auto premium Rate Reform. Although the performance of the auto insurance market last year is not that satisfactory, some insurers invested the reform dividends brought by the decline in the auto insurance loss ratio to the front-end expenses, resulting in high cost ratios, which lead to disordered competition. However, We believe that with the gradual deepening of the reform, we will see turns in high channel cost and cutthroat competition. At the same time, we can also see that many industry practitioners have made efforts and attempts in and get benefits from intensifying market segmentation, strengthening cross-industry cooperation and promoting technological empowerment.

We are delighted to see the market is changing. Rome was not built in a day. We have noticed we have much more to do in order to overcome the developing problems of the market, keep pace with the international mature auto insurance markets and increase auto insurance customers’ satisfaction.
