In 2017, Ghana’s production amounts to around 100,000 barrels of oil and 80 Mscf/d of natural gas. Recently, Ghana’s parliament passed extensive amendments to its Petroleum Revenue Management Act and the Petroleum Exploration and Production Bill that hadn’t been updated since 1984.
Nigeria’s oil and gas industry is set to record another landmark development with the planned in-country fabrication and integration of the Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) facility being built.

| Samuel Bekoe is a consultant at the Ghana Oil and Gas for Inclusive Growth (GOGIG), a DFID funded project that seeks to achieve inclusive economic growth and poverty reduction through an effective management of Ghana’s Oil and gas Sector. Samuel focuses on developing and designing strategic and critical interventions aimed at enhancing the overall oil and gas sector oversight in Ghana. He does this by managing and delivering on GOGIG’s partnership projects with the government and accountability actors. |
