Dear colleague,
Two weeks ago, Vitol has informed that gas deliveries have begun to GNPC from the Offshore Cape Three Points area’s Sankofa field offshore Ghana. This marks the start of supplies of domestic gas for Ghana’s power sector, which is operated by Italy’s Eni, with 44.44% Operator, with Vitol 35.56%, GNPC 20% as partners. It is estimated that the project will generate $7.9 billion of investment in Ghana over its full life, with 320 contracts already awarded to Ghanaian companies valued at $1.8billion.
