Welcome Message

Dear Colleagues,

Welcome to Energy Storage Technology & Application Convention India 2017 (Sept. 25-26 | New Delhi, India).

Energy Storage Systems (ESS) market in India is in its infancy with significant upside market potentials. The market is driven by the needs for diesel replacement, power reliability, renewable integration, microgrids for energy access, EVs/HEVs, as well as other application areas. And it is expected to be one of the top energy storage markets in the coming years- IESA has estimated over 70 GW and 200GWh of energy storage opportunity in India by 2022, and Bloomberg New Energy Finance has forecasted India to be a top-five largest area for annual energy storage investment in 2024.

Although Indian energy storage market is very promising, challenges to reach its potentials are still very huge. The market is waiting for a clearer energy storage policy and regulation framework. Cost is still a sensible factor in Indian market. Effective financing mechanisms and business models are eagerly needed to push forward energy storage technologies development and deployments in India. Public awareness of energy storage is still weak. Local energy storage technologies and supply chain development are very much encouraged while still at the early stage.

The congress in New Delhi, will offer you a comprehensive coverage of energy storage opportunities in India, combining the technologies, demand & application. Meanwhile, for those who are keen to find new investment opportunities or strengthen your presence in Indian market, this 2 days congress will provide plenty of opportunities to meet your future partners.

Best regards,
