There are 618,153 dairy cows by 2015 in Thaland, milk production is 1,096,369 tons in 2015, milk consumption is increasing, it makes Thailand to be the largest production country in Southeast Asia. Even so, Thailand still needs to import lots of milk and milk products. Since ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) took exemption from customs duty, Thailand dairy industry faces challenges, High price Competition with foreign company, Poor raw milk quality and so on.
