Almarai Confirmed to Share Successful Dairy Farming in Middle East

When it is said that a cow should consume three litres of water for every litre of milk it produces, how is arid and water-starved Saudi Arabic able to command a place in the world’s leading dairy producers?

Almarai buys land in other countries, such as California (USA) to improve and secure its supply of the highest quality alfalfa hay from to support its dairy business.

In addition, Almarai has developed an automated system that keeps its Holstein milking cows at a temperature of between 21℃ and 23 ℃. In the milking sheds, they send out clouds of moisture that wet the flanks of the herd to keep them coll. Workers also put the cows through stationary water jets before milking to prevent the milk from becoming contaminated.

Maybe you also want to know more about how they deal with the issues of water-starved, dairy farming and products innovation etc. In July 4-5, Cairo, Egypt, 2nd Global Dairy Congress MEA 2017 (The only Dairy Event in Middle East and Africa) has confirmed the biggest dairy processor in Middle East- Almarai to make the presentation.
