Mr Dixon is a Master Mariner and Specialist Advisor to the World Nuclear Transport Institute (WNTI). He has over 25 years' experience of seagoing operations, serving on chemical tankers, oil and product tankers, container ships and specialised self-discharge vessels. He joined the World Nuclear Transport Institute in 1999 as a Specialist Advisor on maritime affairs and represents the WNTI at the International Maritime Organisation, the UN Committee of Experts on the Transport of Dangerous Goods and at the International Atomic Energy Agency. He is the WNTI specialist in security of nuclear materials during transport and is an invited lecturer to the World Maritime University on radioactive transports.
