Professor S. B. Elegba has authored/co-authored over 200 scientific publications and technical reports. He is an international expert in nuclear and radiation safety and security; with wide experience in energy planning. He was the Pioneer Director-General of the Nigerian Nuclear Regulatory Authority (NNRA) from 2001 to 2011. He is a Fellow of the Nigerian Institute of Physics. He is a Member of the IAEA Standing Advisory Group on Technical Cooperation (SAGTAC) since 2005. Professor Elegba was the Pioneer Chairperson of the Forum of Nuclear Regulatory Bodies in Africa (FNRBA) from 2008-2011 and was awarded the Nigeria Presidential National Productivity Order of Merit.
