Dear Colleagues,

At the end of last year, The USA, Japan and Ghana have announced a strategic collaboration to support the deployment of small modular reactors (SMRs) in the West African nation. Through the partnership, Ghana could become an advanced nuclear technology hub. The programme will support Ghana's adoption of SMR technology, including support for stakeholder engagement, advanced technical collaboration, and project evaluation and planning.

Ghana has already adopted the International Atomic Energy Agency's Milestones Approach, a phased method to help countries that are considering or planning their first nuclear power plant.

We are pleased to announce that a number of leading U.S. and Japanese companies have confirmed their presence at The 6th Middle East and Africa Nuclear Industry Congress 2023 , April 26-27, Cairo, Egypt (The 6th MEA NIC 2023), such as U.S. Nuclear Regulatory Commission (NRC), Excel Services Corporation, Jensen Hughes, Mirion Technologies, Structural Integrity Associates, Toshiba Energy Systems & Solutions Corporation, Hayward Tyler and etc.
