Gerard Cognet, HDR, PhD in fluid mechanics, has more than 30
years' experience in nuclear reactors developments.
He contributed to thermal-hydraulic issues which can occur in
Fast Neutron Reactors (FBR) and Pressurized Water Reactors
(PWR), both in nominal and severe accident situations. He
actively participated in "in-situ" experiments in the French FBRs
: Phenix and Super-Phenix.
He participated in several European projects since 1992. He was
also a member of the EC expert group in charge of the
evaluations of the ISTC projects proposed by Russian and Kazakh
teams. He is regularly mandated, as expert, by the IAEA to
review some studies or participate in workshops.
Designated, end of 2006, "Regional Nuclear Counsellor" of the
Ambassadors of France, first in Central Europe, and since
mid-2014, in Turkey, he is in charge of following nuclear issues in
these countries. |
