Rosatom wants to sell 49 percent of the Akkuyu nuclear power plant (NPP) it is building for Turkey. "Rosatom's goal is to attract investors by the end of 2017. We want to offer a 49 percent stake in the project to investors,” said Rosatom spokesperson Anastasia Polovinkina.
A consortium of Turkish companies yesterday signed an agreement with Russian state nuclear corporation Rosatom on the main conditions for acquiring a 49% stake in JSC Akkuyu Nuclear.
Akkuyu Nuclear said the main construction permit and first concrete pouring at Akkuyu are expected in March 2018.
