Recently, the Official of Nuclear Regulation has granted the first consent for the start construction at Hinkley Point C. 

Then EDF Energy has poured the concrete for the power station galleries that are a network of connected tunnels which will carry cabling and pipes. Three million tonnes of concrete and 230,000tonnes of steel reinforcement will be used in construction.
