John Saroudis has had more than 30 years experience with Atomic Energy of Canada Limited as a General Manager and Senior Marketing Director, both in Canada and overseas. A graduate of McGill University of Montreal in Mechanical Engineering and the University of Ottawa in nuclear engineering (M.Eng) his long career in reactor operations, engineering and project management in the nuclear and power industry is complemented by a broad experience in international marketing, financing and negotiations of large power projects. Following a 5-year stint as a senior consultant in the power industry he returned to Candu Energy Inc. (formerly the commercial division of AECL) as regional vice president in Europe.
John has spent the past 15 years of his career in Eastern Europe, mainly in Romania and is very knowledgeable of the local and regional energy markets. During six of those years he was president of the Canadian Business Association in Romania.
