Professor Grzegorz Wrochna
- Born in 1962 in Radom, Poland
- Graduated at the Warsaw University Physics Faculty, assistant 1986-1991
- Between 1991 and 1998 worked at the CERN European Organization for Nuclear Research in Geneva on designing and construction of Large Hadron Collider experiments
- After coming back to Poland started to work in the Andrzej Soltan Institute for Nuclear Studies at Swierk, since 2006 the director of the institute.
- Currently director of National Centre for Nuclear Research (NCBJ) at Otwock-Swierk.
- Professor since 2009
- Vice-chair of Euratom-Fission Consultative Committee (till 2013)
- Member of the Governing Board of European Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform
- Member of the Council of European-XFEL GmBH
- Represents Poland in several international bodies, including:
- Nuclear Science Committee of OECD’s Nuclear Energy Agency
- Committee on the Safety of Nuclear Installations of OECD’s Nuclear Energy Agency
