In July 2011 I was promoted to the position of the Director of the Radioactive Waste Management Plant
The Radioactive Waste Management Plantwas established for
conducting the activities involving radioactive waste management and spent nuclear fuel
management.
Summary of Work Experience ( 1975-present)
Management of the real radioactive wastes arising from isotope production and application (medicine, industry, science). Design of radioactive waste storage facilities (interim storage, final disposal)
Development of the QA and QC procedures for the safe management and disposal L/ILW
Participation in the development of the national strategy on radioactive waste and spent nuclear fuel management;
Co-ordination of international projects in the field of radioactive waste management and spent nuclear fuel.
Development of the national inventory on spent nuclear fuel and radioactive waste;
Participation in the review of a proposed methodology for site selection of a near surface and geological disposal facilities for radioactive waste
Membership of professional bodies:
Member of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Atomic Energy ( 1995-2003)
Member of the Group of Experts referred to in Article 37 of Euratom Treaty
Member of the Council for Nuclear Safety and Radiological Protection - the consulting and opinion-giving body of the President of National Atomic Energy Agency
Member of the Group of Experts referred to in Article 37 of Euratom Treaty
