China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGNPC)

China General Nuclear Power Corp. (CGNPC) was established in September of 1994, focusing on clean energy development and operation, involving nuclear power, wind power, hydro power, and solar power. Currently, CGNPC's assets stand at 2800 billion RMB.
Having nuclear power as its core business, CGNPC owns 8,330MWe of nuclear installed capacity in operation and 16,630MWe under construction. It also runs wind, hydro and solar power utilities with installed capacity totaling 6,980MWe.

CGNPC holds strong research and development capabilities. The ACPR1000+ is a technology developed by CGNPC to meet post-Fukushima nuclear safety requirements, on a reliable and cost competitive basis. The technical plan of the technology has been approved by Chinese National Nuclear Safety Authority (NNSA), and is being reviewed by International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA). The first ACPR1000+ unit is expected to be licensed for construction in China in 2014.

The Global Nuclear Skills Institute (GNSI) is a joint venture between the British Institute of Technology & E-commerce (BITE) and the UK National Nuclear Laboratory (NNL), offering a global solution to the nuclear skills gap. The demands from a global resurgence in nuclear programmes in countries with little or no infrastructure, limited understanding of international obligations and a lack of understanding about the fuel cycle. Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI)

Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI), which was established in 1959, is a government-sponsored nuclear R&D institute in Korea. KAERI is committed to contributing to national economic growth and improving energy security and public welfare through a wide spectrum of nuclear R&D for the peaceful use of nuclear energy. KAERI has made significant achievements such as the self-reliance of NSSS system design of the Korean Standard Nuclear Power Plant, localization of both CANDU and PWR fuels, the indigenous design of HANARO research reactor, and the nation’s first export of a research reactor to Jordan. Standard Design Approval (SDA) for SMART (System-integrated Advanced Modular ReacTor), a 100MWe (330MWth) integral reactor indigenously developed by KAERI, was granted on 4 July 2012 by the national regulatory body in Korea.
