Dr. Khaled Abbas has over 30 years of advisory/expert/specialist/academic experience intransportation consultancy, research, training and academia. Such experienceinvolved leading & managing transport groups/sections/departments andconducting consultancy projects/studies/research/training/teaching in fieldsof: strategic, urban and transport planning, transport & traffic modelling,public transport, master plans, traffic engineering, traffic safety, parking,road hierarchy, feasibility studies, traffic and environment impact assessment,logistics management, restructuring, privatization, PPP, performance evaluationand sustainable development. He is also experienced in the restructuring,reform & management of transport industry. He worked in several countriesincluding Egypt, Australia, Saudi, Dubai, USA and UK. He just completed histerm as Dean of Egypt National Institute of Transport as well as being aProfessor of Transportation Planning & Traffic Engineering. Dr. Abbas is aBoard member of Holding Company for Roads, Bridges and Land Transport Projectsas well as a General Assembly member of the 4 road construction affiliatecompanies. He was also chairman of the board for River Transport authority aswell as board member of several other transport organisations in Egyptincluding National Authority for Tunnels, National Institute of Transport andothers.
