Requier Wait
KPMG South Africa

Requier Wait is an Economist with 7 years of research and university teaching experience. Requier is presently a Manager within the Financial Risk Management unit at KPMG in Johannesburg. His areas of focus includeeconomic impact assessments and upstream energy markets.
Prior to joining KPMG, Requier was a lecturer at the school of Economics at the North-West University (Potchefstroom Campus). He has been involved in a number of consulting projects, including research for the Department of Energy's IPP office.
Requier holds a MCom (Economics) degree and will graduate with his PhD (Economics) in October 2015. In addition, Requier has published his research in peer reviewed journals, acted as a research supervisor at the honours and masters level; and presented his research at several conferences, locally and internationally. Requier’s research include licencing and tax policy, the economic impact of developing South Africa’s shale gas reserves and the governance of the shale gas industry.
