Claim payments and administration costs consume 75% of the global €5trn insurance premiums. The claims management process has remained mostly unchanged over the past century as most claims are traditionally handled with technology of past decades.

Our team of experienced insurance experts and top developers at Silicon Valley level, have built the first open claims management platform. The platform aggregates not only structured data as today, but also unstructured insurance information, unlocking the full potential of AI, including algorithm-based workflows and settlements, reserve predictions, up to full automation.

The timing is favourable for the digitization of the -so far undisrupted- insurance industry. We believe offering ONE platform that can be used by any insurer, broker and TPA is more efficient than inhouse or fragmented outsourcing. Delivered as software/ai-as-a-service, the platform has already launched 3 business applications, that enable the first fully automated claims handling AI within the next 12 months. The platform has already digitized and analysed more than 500k claims and 5mn of documents, creating a critical mass for a European insurance data pool.

Our lighthouse applications DRILLER and HUSTON extract data from unstructured information from claims documents and analyse a complete claim’s portfolio in a matter of days. Our technology converts the full content of claims files into a format that the machine can read, understand, and provide context. That way, it can find claims anomalies, suspicious cases, derive qualitative insights from historic claims performance, re-assess and predict reserves, automate input management etc.
