KEYNOTE ANNOUNCEMENT

Last week, Ministry of Energy of Baden-Württemberg has just confirmed to deliver a keynote at 2nd World Nuclear Decommissioning & Waste Management Congress Europe during Sept. 11-13, in London. Gathering most of the Nuclear Decommissioning Leaders, especially Operators and Regulators like ONR, EnBW, ANDRA, Fortum, Ingalina NPP, TEPCO, we are proud of having a great support from our distinguished speakers, to share us the latest information of the ongoing and planning projects, in this indoor conferences during Sept. 11-13, in London.

The Baden-Württemberg ministry of environment has issued German utility EnBW a permit to decommission and dismantle unit 1 of its Philippsburg nuclear power plant. Meanwhile, dismantling of unit 1 at its Neckarwestheim plant has now officially begun. EnBW plans to dismantle parts of the primary circuit, including pumps, piping, cable ducts and electrical installations. It will also begin dismantling work in the turbine hall. Dismantling of the unit is expected to take 10-15 years to complete.
