IIC Asia Awards 2025 Spotlights the Innovations Transforming Asia’s Insurance Landscape
The IIC Asia Awards 2025 in Hong Kong showcased leading achievements in digital transformation, data and analytics, health insurance, and customer experience across Asia’s insurance industry.
The future of insurance took shape in many forms on the evening of March 19, as the IIC Asia Awards 2025 Ceremony in Hong Kong recognised organisations at the forefront of digital transformation, data-driven decision-making, health innovation, and customer experience.
The ceremony was held alongside InsurInnovator Connect Asia 2025 (March 19–20), bringing together senior executives, industry leaders, innovators, and technology experts from across Asia. With insurance businesses facing accelerating digital change and an increasingly connected health and technology ecosystem, the Awards offered a timely opportunity to spotlight the organisations turning these shifts into new capabilities and business outcomes.
This year’s award recipients included Cathay Life Insurance (Digital Transformation Trailblazer Award), FWD Group (Data & Analytics Excellence Award & Customer Experience Excellence Award), Bupa (Health Insurance Innovator of the Year), Nan Shan Life (Health Insurance Innovator of the Year), EverBright Actuarial Consulting Limited (HealthTech Innovation Excellence Award), Towers Watson Hong Kong Limited (Data & Analytics Visionary Award), BOC Life (Health and Wellness Engagement Excellence Award), and Ping An Life (Digital Transformation Trailblazer Award & Excellence in Product Innovation Award). Together, the recipients reflected the diverse approaches being taken to strengthen digital capabilities, harness data, enhance customer engagement, and advance health and wellness innovation.
Taken together, the winning projects and organisations illustrate how the region’s insurance industry is broadening its innovation agenda. Digital transformation is being paired with stronger analytical capabilities, more sophisticated customer engagement, and deeper connections between insurance, health, and technology—areas that are increasingly central to how insurers create value and remain competitive.
The Awards also highlighted the importance of turning transformation into lasting impact. As insurers move from adopting new technologies to embedding them across products, operations, and customer journeys, the organisations recognised in Hong Kong demonstrated the ambition and execution needed to translate innovation into meaningful progress.
The next chapter of the IIC Asia Awards will unfold at IIC Asia 2025 in Singapore on September 23–24, with the IIC Asia Awards 2025 Ceremony taking place on September 23. Applications are now open for organisations and individuals across insurance, InsurTech, HealthTech, technology, and the wider ecosystem to showcase their achievements and join the region’s growing community of recognised innovators.
