According to news reports, OOS Energy has been awarded its first contract in Mexico by oil company PEMEX. Its offshore service affiliate would provide the OOS Tiger 1 drillship as well as vessel management and drilling support to specialized vessel provider Marinsa and PEMEX Drilling. Besides, McDermott has been awarded a sizeable contract award by PEMEX for subsea pipeline flow line installation in support of its Ayatsil field, located 50 miles northwest of Ciudad del Carmen in the Bay of Campeche offshore Mexico.
PEMEX is one of the few oil companies in the world that develops the entire productive chain of the industry, from exploration, to the distribution and commercialization of final products, including petrochemicals.
