Novatek-operated giant   Yamal LNG project in Russia has secured a loan from Chinese banks worth more   than US$12 billion.   Therefore, Yamal LNG’s total financing is estimated at US$18 to $19 billion.

Launched at end 2013,   Yamal LNG Project is one of the most complex LNG projects located above the   Arctic Circle. With the construction of a new generation icebreaker with   Wärtsilä   31 engine, the launch of the first vessel- BigRoll Barentsz, and the   financing support from the accumulated investment, Yamal LNG Project is   accelerating its progress and involving more and more LNG players.
