Do you know the process of the first NPP in poland ?

Poland announces progress on site selection process for first nuclear station, it has approved the environmental assessment report for the new build project, which will focus on the site of Lubiatowo-Kopalino and Żarnowiec.

For reactor vendor, 5 companies (GE Hitachi, Kepco,SNC Lavalin,Westinghouse,EDF/Avera) were listed as potential suppliers of the reactor technology for the first new build project. By the end of 2016, it estimates to be Selected.

In addition,the chart as below is the Time-frame for PNPP implementation by ministry of economy ‘s presentatoin in Poalnd in 2nd Central and Eastern Europe Nuclear New Build Congress 2015.

Phase I 2015-2018 Site selection, call for integrated tender, technology selection
Phase II 2018-2019 Drafting blue prints,obtaining all required regulatory approvals
Phase III 2020-2027 Building permit, construction and connection of the 1st reactor of the 1st NPP staring construction of the 2nd reactor.
Phase IV 2027-2030 Completion of the first NPP (2-3 units), constructionof the 2nd NPP to be completed in 2035
