Hector Marquez is currently Head of the Energy Unit of the Mexican Ministry of Economy. He is responsible for the development of the methodology of local content by the SE and for the design of policies to promote the value chains and investment on the energy sector.
He served as the Mexican Ministry’s Trade Representative in USA, negotiating with the U.S. government, Congress and the private sector on the solution of all the investment and trade issues that the Mexican and American companies were facing. |

| Former Exploration Strategies Manager and Exploration Asset Manager for Pemex. Experienced for about 34 years in the upstream segment of oil industry, making mainly reservoirs characterization, reserves assessmentand economics in onshore and offshore projects. Author of some publications in national and international specialized technical magazines.
Currently collaborates in the design of regulation in Industrial safety, operational safety and environmental protection in the hydrocarbons Sector for the Mexican Federal sphere in the Safety, Energy and Environment Agency (ASEA).
