Dear colleague, After two hydrocarbon discoveries in deepwater KG basin in India’s east coast last month, ONGC has approached MoEF seeking clearance for drilling 45 Development Wells and other related infrastructure in NDA Offshore NELP-I Block KG-DWN-98/2 this week. In a reaction, an EAC under the MoEF indicated that Development drilling of 45 offshore wells, FPSO, Fixed Offshore Platform, Subsea Equipment, Sub-sea pipeline and Onland Terminal have been proposed to be set up as part of development drilling of these blocks. This undoubtedly attracts the local as well as international companies providing these services.
