| VIETNAM-Vietnam’s Ice Cream Segment Getting More Competitive |
| Vietnam’s ice cream and frozen dessert segment is a lucrative industry with a sales value of Dong 2.62 trillion(US$115 million)in 2016. On average, a Vietnamese spends Dong 35,000(US$1.54)on ice cream products. This is still much lower than its neighbours Malaysia(Dong122,00)and Singapore(Dong 391,000). As much, this is ample room for growth in this segment. |

| Latest comment made by Shanghai-based Rabobank Analyst, Sandy Chen mentioned that Chinese demand for dairy products is continuing to grow but is slowing down and not at the breakneck pace of a decade and more ago. Chen projected that with a low level of inventory, china will import more dairy products and china’s small dairy farmers are exiting the market leaving it with more large scale dairy farms. |
