Coca-Cola is famous of carbonated beverages. However, in the past few decades, it has been committed to non-carbonated beverage, in fact, 70% of the company's global sales still comes from carbonated beverages. First nine months of 2015, the company's carbonated beverages increased by only 1%, while its non-carbonated beverages grew 4%.

To accelerate the expansion of its African business and deepening diversification to cope with slowing sales of carbonated soft drinks.CEO of Coca-Cola, Muhtar Kent, expressed that it will continue to seek bolt-on acquisitions.

In western Africa, Coca-Cola acquired 40% of the shares of Nigeria's largest juice manufacturer, Chi Ltd.
In addition, SABMiller and Coca-Cola merge soft drink bottling business in South Africa and the East Africa, The combined new company, Coca-Cola Beverages Africa, will sell beverages to12 African countries.
