Lwazi is the Commercial Director of General Electric South Africa, covering all the countries within the Southern Africa region. He is responsible for developing a sustainable market for General Electric products and services, in these countries, with a particular bias towards solutions from the GE Power & Water portfolio.

In this role, which he took after completing the Executive Commercial Leadership Program (ECLP), Lwazi is tasked with developing and expanding the customer base for General Electric, in Southern Africa, in both the private and the public sectors. Not only is he charged with deal origination, in the Southern Africa countries, but Lwazi is also General Electric’s relationship manager for the industrial and state-owned sector, in this region. 

Lwazi joined General Electric from a Consulting business unit, within Deloitte & Touche, where he advised mainly international energy corporations on growth strategies, specifically on spreading their footprint onto the African market. He assessed the feasibility of the planned expansion plans and advised them on accessing various sovereign investment incentives offered by these destination countries.

Prior to Deloitte, he worked for the local subsidiary of the French oil giant, Total. As a refining and marketing outfit, Total (South Africa) orientated Lwazi to many aspects of the oil, gas and petrochemicals industry.
