Paul was appointed to the EDF Energy Executive Team in January 2009. He leads activity on Energy Policy, Strategy, Branding, External Communications, Sustainability, Digital Futures, and Legal Affairs.  He chairs EDF Energy’s R&D centre in the UK and sits on the licensee board of the New Nuclear build company.  His teams work across all EDF Energy’s UK activities which encompass energy supply and services to domestic and business customers as well as coal, gas, renewable and nuclear generation.

Before their acquisition by EDF he was Head of Strategy and Business Development within British Energy. Paul joined the company in 2003 and played a key role in crafting the company's restructuring and strategy. He previously spent 17 years with Accenture, advising global oil, gas and utility clients on strategy and large scale change. He holds an MBA from London Business School and a BSc in Engineering from University of Bristol.

He is married with two sons and lives in South London.
