Julia Pyke is a partner in the global energy group of Herbert Smith Freehills LLP, specialising in infrastructure work, particularly in the nuclear sector.  For over 20 years Julia has advised clients on nuclear new build joint ventures, decommissioning, nuclear sector privatisations and industry restructurings.

Julia is currently leading the HSF team that is advising long-standing client EDF Energy, and its wholly-owned subsidiary NNB Generation Company Limited, in building the UK's first nuclear power plant for a generation – with the development of two European Pressurised Reactors at the Hinkley Point C site in Somerset for which the team was recently awarded the "Infrastructure and Projects Legal Team of the Year 2014" by The Lawyer Awards.

Julia's work has been recognised through her numerous individual awards within the legal community; including being named in the prestigious The Lawyer's Hot 100 list 2014 for her work within the energy sector.
