Lee is currently Director of the Office for Nuclear Development in the Department of Energy and Climate Change. She has responsibility for nuclear policy including new build and decommissioning policy.
A career civil servant, Lee started as a nuclear inspector regulating and enforcing controls on discharges of radioactivity from nuclear licensed sites. Following an MBA from Imperial College she moved to work in a range of corporate roles in central government and then led a number of policy portfolios including marine and agriculture policy and then as Director of animal health and welfare policy in the Department of Food and Rural Affairs. |
