Dear Industry Colleagues,
Welcome to Offshore Mexico Congress 2016 (Nov. 17-18, Mexico City), with the aim to examine Mexico offshore market and unlock more business opportunities for international players.
Mexico’s energy sector has been completely overhauled since the constitutional energy reform of December 2013, implemented by a package of energy reform legislation in Aug. 2014, which fully opened Mexico’s oil & gas sector from upstream to downstream.
Bidding Round 1 has completed its former three stages with onshore and shallow water blocks offered, while Phase 4 with 10 deepwater blocks is expected to be around Dec. 2016 with lower local content requirement. Besides, Round 2.1 will be called by the end of July with 15 shallow water blocks. All of these will be much attractive for global deepwater players, as Mexico still not has enough technical capability and budget to explore its huge reserves.
OMC 2016 will loop in 200+ professionals, aiming to strengthen the partnership between local & international players, discussing latest regulation & policy, new bidding, international deepwater projects showcase, and advanced technology presentation.
Best regards,
