About National Hydrocarbons Commission (CNH), Mexico
CNH is charged with regulating, overseeing, and evaluating all hydrocarbons exploration and production activities in the country.
The Mexican Hydrocarbons Law establishes that geologic, geophyisic, petrophysic, petroquimic, geoquimic and all other information obtained from recognition and exploration as well as extraction activities carried out by PEMEX or any other State’s productive company, belongs to the Nation. Then CNH establishes and manages the national data repository: National Hydrocarbons Information Center (CNIH), to gather, maintain, use, manage and publish such information.
