NXT Energy Solutions has started work on the first-ever Stress Field Detection (SFD) Multi-Client Survey in the Gulf of Mexico, reported last Thursday. NXT’s patented SFD Technology has been approved by the Comisión Nacional de Hidrocarburos, (CNH), for work credits by exploration companies in Mexico.

On November, 16th, 2016, Dr. OSCAR ROLDÁN, shared CNH’s Multi Client System and License System at Offshore Mexico Congress 2016 (OMC 2016), following are the details:

Multi-client system

On February 2015, CNH published the regulation for Authorizations for Superficial Exploration (Multi-client system), since then 43 authorizations have been granted:

25 for acquisition of new data
18 for re-imaging existing seismic data
36 authorizations took place in the Mexican side of the Gulf of México
