Dear Colleagues,
It is my greatest pleasure, on behalf of the Organizing Committee to welcome you to attend the Offshore North Sea & Europe Congress 2019, to be held on November 18-19, in Stavanger, Norway.
As a mature offshore oil and gas market, the North Sea and Europe region is still with great potentials both in the mature areas and in the frontier areas. Norway, the UK, the Netherlands and Demark are the most important players in the region.
Both Norway and the UK have launched new offshore licensing rounds in 2018-2019. And more licenses are/will be offered.
It’s expected that there will be around 69 planned and announced crude oil and natural gas projects to start operations in the North Sea during the period of 2019-2025. And the UK will lead with the highest numbers, followed by Norway, the Netherlands, and Demark. It’s also anticipated that Norway will lead the investment in offshore E&P in 2019-2025, following closely by the UK.
Johann Sverdrup, Clair Ridge, Mariner, Glengorm, and Tolmount are among the major offshore E&P projects to watch in the region in 2019. And the redevelopment programs also will bring more opportunities in the region, such as the activities and plans for the Quad 204 (Schiehallion), Tyra, Penguins and Ormen Lange fields.
Moreover, a large number of offshore oil and gas installations in North Sea and Europe will be out of services in the next decades, the decommissioning industry will grow very fast in the region.
Digitalization and innovation trends in offshore oil and gas will disrupt the whole lifecycle of the industry.
The Offshore North Sea & Europe Congress 2019 is designed to be a must-attend annual gathering in North Sea and Europe region for offshore oil and gas industry development. Topics will cover national commitments and offshore new landscape, major projects updates, exploration in frontier areas, exploration and redevelopment in mature areas, digitalization and innovation, project management and supply chain, as well as offshore oil and gas decommissioning.
