Dear Colleagues,
Due to the outbreak of COVID-19, there are raw material shortages in Myanmar’s garment manufacturing sector during this period because of the January lockdown in China and stalling shipments.

Though China begins to send raw materials to Myanmar after the control of its COVID-19 spread, there is still an urge for the government to establish a national committee to help the industry from The Union of Myanmar Federation of Chambers of Commerce and Industry (UMFCCI). There will be a panel Preparing for Myanmar Textile and Garment Investment: What’s next for the Government and Investors?and following topics will be talked about:

♦  Status of current Myanmar textile & garment investment
♦  Analyzing main concerns and challenges for next round investment: supply chain, labor,
infrastructure, safety, policy, financing system or more?
♦  Government’s plans and efforts to deal with these challenges
♦  Proposal of investors’ potential strategy for Myanmar market

On Behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am honored to invite you to the Textile & Garment Myanmar Summit 2020. The summit will be held on June 29-30, 2020 in Yangon, Myanmar.
