LinkedIn Group: Offshore Mexico Community

Dear Offshore Colleague,

What are the industrial players concerning about Mexico at the present? As a newly open market, the answer has to do with the energy reform and upcoming bidding.

The liberalization of Mexico’s oil and gas market is continuing apace with the blocks to be auctioned. SENER, Mexico’s Ministry of Energy, announced the auction of 15 shallow water areas in Round 2.1, which adds to the momentum created by the 10 deepwater blocks in Round 1.4, to be awarded on 5 December this year.

But what most people wonder is, what will those “Rounds” lead the sector to?
What exactly can I get help from the so-called “energy reform”?
